The Benedictine Sisters of Elk County elected  Sister Jacinta Conklin as Prioress of St. Joseph Monastery for the next four years. She will be installed in June.

Sister Jacinta is the 20th prioress since the monastery was founded on July 22, 1852.

Sister Jean Marie Langevin places her ballot in the voting box during the canonical election. Sisters Margoretta and Kathleen Warner, tellers for the election, look on.  Sister Roberta serves as the secretary.

Sisters Kathleen McNany (Baltimore) and Mary Catherine Wenstrup (Covington) prepare for the next stage of the discernment process. They served as facilitators for the election.
